PC Games - [Information/Fixed] Im stumped.... performance issue posted in the Software forums; well.... doesnt seem to be much of a change at all.... still the same... :S if I lower the directx level in source, the fps drops arent so severe , ...

well.... doesnt seem to be much of a change at all.... still the same... :S

if I lower the directx level in source, the fps drops arent so severe , but they still happen :s I get a lotta choke... which shouldnt be happening with my connection , gpu , and ram....you guys think my mobo is dying on me?

(okay, for some weird reason after I typed the third period , it started posting.... O.o', srry for the spam... )

I would turn HT back on. Have you tried different drivers like the omega drivers for the ATI cards..
OmegaDrivers.net
I always use them and ATi even says to use them (or at least they like them)

I turned ht back on and it didnt make 1 whit of a difference except on startup.

with omega drivers , my performance was actually worse... :s

if its only getting 1 frame every 4 seconds at best on 3d mark 6 , I guess that tells us it has to be the processor...? :s but yet, people are telling me they have similar systems with the same processor and they are getting constant fps.... :s so confused right now.

3d mark isn't really a good test for frame rates...i don't think i've even installed 3dmark on my current rig...i find it pointless and a waste of time

Just to rule this one out of the equation, can you please goto the Prework link in my signiture and follow the HJT instructions? Post the log back here...just so we can see what it has
