Well...i haven't played source for a while..
but i do know that in my native res (1920x1200) with hdr on, aa and af on full - i used to get 60 constant...i also know that someone with the same video card as me...and a p4 2.8ghz...gets 60fps constant

With hdr off, aa and af off, and res of 1280x1024...i can get a max of 420 fps with my old video cards (sli 7800gt)

it's nothing to do with the cpu...infact i might suggest that you upgrade your motherboard drivers....you could notice a big difference.

There aint no mountain high enough.... there aint no valley low enough... to keep me from my drivers, babe ! Oh wait.... GOOGLE ! *bawls*

I cant find the drivers for my mobo anywhere, Ive tried doing it through everest and device manager, no luck... according to my device manager , my drivers are already up to date....

starting to see why Im so frustrated? >.< Ive spent two weeks on this problem so far, since I installed the other 512 ram, and my eyes are about ready to pop out of my sockets from so much reading lol

if ya got a link..... Ill use it ! If its not my processor, then lets tackle this blasted gremlin and find out what it is. (hope its not my mobo dying on me O.O )

Hehe...well if there's one thing I'm good at - it's pulling stuff back to life...so lets see if i can find some of these elusive drivers for you.

PS. Device Manager will always say your drivers are up-to date.

I sure appreciate it ...

Im pretty worn out, I put 6 hours nonstop in today researching this problem, starting to pull my hair out. was drooling over my monitor at these dell xps systems, filled out an application, got the denial , and now considering going to aaron's monday and see if I can order one through them. (I got both of my dells and my desk from them, been a great customer of theirs for 2 years now)

take your time and Ill be checking back on this tommorow. its 10 45 pm here.

Heaven is a comfortable temperature and a nice comfy bed after a weary day.

Ok...your motherboard has an Intel® D915 chipset

Try download these drivers from here.
