Default Battle for Middle Earth (I) nv4_disp.dll problems, tried many fixes.

Well, I can't get past any menu screens in BFME (I, not II), just installed today, and it locks up, then crashes and gives me an error concerning infinite driver loops and nv4_disp.dll.

I've tried to search through many other forums, and they said to change BIOS to optimize defaults, didnt work. They said to get the latest drivers for my NVIDIA GeForce 6200, didn't work. They said to use a fix they had to download, didn't work.

What could I do? Thanks in advance.

My specs are

Windows: Windows XP5.1 (Build 2600) Service Pack 2
Internet Explorer: 7.0.5730.11
Memory (RAM): 1023 MB
CPU: AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 3400+
CPU Speed: 2185.7 MHz
Sound card: Realtek AC97 Audio
Display Adapters: NVIDIA GeForce 6200 | NetMeeting driver | RDPDD Chained DD

With just that I could play Oblivion for the most part, but this same problem happened in Oblivion too, but only randomly during battles.

Are you sure there is no spyware or viruses on your PC?

IF you are unsure follow the PCHF Prework link in my sig and post up a Hijackthis log and an Avg spyware report. Thanks.
