Both the CPU and Video card need to be updraded to play COD2 online in max detail. I couldn't do it with 7800gt SLi

The Sempron is a low end budget cpu...it may be 2ghz, but AMD's "thing" is that megahurtz doesn't mean everything.

i've got a 3800+ dual core with a standard clock speed of 2ghz, and a couple of opterons with clock speeds of 1.8ghz (dual core as well)...the opterons are faster...

If you wanted to play CoD2 faster, you'd need a new cpu, and then a new video card...but right now, if you upgrade your video card...you'll only get an extra 10-15fps.

That being said, think about getting an ATI 1800xt (if it's in your price range) not sure of the prices where you are
