Default [Answered] Is 350 power supply enough for my PC???

Firstly hello to one and all...
I know this thread may be in the wrong place so please feel free to move it if needed but i am a newbie to all this.

I am new to the PC world and don't really know much in these matters but am willing to learn

I bought my pc from pc world about 8 months ago (i know why did i go there lol) anyway since purchase I discovered a game called Battlefeild 2 and since then it is all my PC has seen. It is runnning a p4 3400 CPU and was running one gig of ram and a 6200 graphics card...I upgraded the card to a 6800gt and that ran fine with no issues....THEN! I purchased x2 1 gig sticks of corsair xms ram to improve my gaming speeds. Since I have put this ram in my computer randomly restarts itself and wont boot back up....goes to a screen that says select proper boot device then press any key....but it just will not start....even just resetting it it just wont do it. if i leave if for a few hours then it does start up but again wont run for more than an hour or so I noticed that my power supply is only 350w

Do you think this might be a problem?

Any help would be much apprieciated

Thanks

Hello there predetor1 and welcome to PCHF.

my power supply is only 350w

Do you think this might be a problem?

Yes and no, the more you upgrade you system the more power is being used so it might be worth looking into getting a bigger power supply at some stage.
But for the moment I think your problem may be heat related, would you be able to run some programs for us so we can determine whether this is the issue:orPost the speeds for us and we can tell you if they are high or not.

I would double check to make sure that the power cable is connected to your video card and that its fan is turning, also make sure the fan on your processor is still turning.
