i bought rome total war two weeks ago, put the disc into my computer and the drive detected nothing, not even a disc, at first i assumed it was a problem with my cd rom drive but when i tried other discs it seemed to work perfectly. Today i took RTW back to the sho and got a replacement, i asumed the disk was faulty...it wasnt, the seccond coppy has the same problem, plz help.

Hi, is the disk your trying a dvd rom? because if your trying a dvd rom disk in a normal cd drive it wont read.

its a dvd rom, i was almost certain my drive playd dvd roms, is ther a way 2 find out?

ok, dw, the obvious struck me and i stuck a dvd in the drive, it has the same problem, thanx and....ne idea wer 2 get a new drive? lol

lol,no problem, you could try ebay, or try your local argos, also try any local computer fairs, i manged to pick 1 up off a comp fair for just 12 pound, best option is ebay though, cheap and almost always work. thx dave

ebay sounds good, lol iv been looking all day on forums nd the like trying to find out wat was wrong with my computer. I was expecting problems with my drivers or that part of my computer was incompatable with the game...this was so obvious lol. thnx alot. Andrew.
