Hi there johnnyboy.
60c is a high temp for a gpu. have you tried using ATI Tool to see if you get any errors?

But have you checked if the fan from the graphics card is spinning ok , and isn't glogged up with dust?

Thankyou all very much, problem solved.

installed ati tool and found gpu hot when in windows, and frezzing on game, removed graphics card and found thin film of dust blocking heatsink(altough card appered clean) unblocked dust from heatsink reinstalled card back into computer and runs like a dream.(finally I can have peace from other half she can play THE MOVIES game now!!):cheesy:

What should my cpu, motherboard, gpu temps be say on windows?also what should they be when played game flatout?(The Movies, Call of Duty 2, FEAR.

I would like to thank all who helped me thanks once again

Good news.


Youre cpu and mb temps are just fine , its difficult to say what they "should be" since that differs fore each pc , proc , mobo , ect. But yourse are fine if the gpu is down abit now.
