thanks buddy, my mistake.. :-D I also cheked to see what processes are running, got no viruses, all processes are drivers running for mu souncard, video card etc. But i think ill bite the bullet and buy a 7200 rpm hd, and install my windows clean on it. 5400rpm just doesnt cut it. Would a 1gb stick of ram help in games also, like the sims 2, Thanks

Yes... But make sure you get the same kind of ram you have now..Same speed, etc.. 1 gig of ram never hurt anyone (unless it's a bad stick :-D )
