Default [Answered] Major GPU Problem

Hello, I've been to a couple of other forums with my problem, and they haven't been able to help much, so I come before you hoping to get a solution.

Recently I was playing GTA: SA. I alt-tabbed out of it to check something, then went back in. When it loaded up, all the textures were strechted off their models, there were black squares in the sky, and basically everything was messed up.
I quit the game.
Later, my friend asked if I wanted to play Bf2. I said sure, so we joined a server and I noticed the problem was still there. Even in Bf2, the textures were stretching off their models, some textures you could see right through (they had triangles cut out of them). I quit that and restarted my computer.

I started up hammer and did some mapping. When it came to put models into the map, I noticed all the little preview images for each model was just completely black, and I couldn't see the model.

Also, my xFire list is covered in horizontial purple lines.

I was using the 5.7 ATI Drivers. They worked for a bit then this started happening

I had this before, but not really sure how I fixed it. Has anyone else got this? How do you fix it?
I have a 9800pro 128mb GPU with a totally new artic cooling fan.

Things I have done to try and fix the problem:
Restart computer
Reinstall drivers
Pull out graphics card and clean off all dust
Install Omega Drivers
Installed latest motherboard drivers
Uninstall drivers, and GPU (through device manager), pulled gpu out of computer, set it back in, reinstalled everything (back up to 5.7 ATI drivers)

here are some pics of the problem:

Please help!

Sorry to say this but it looks like the 9800 is about to croak!

How are the temps on the GPU? I know I have heard the 9800 pro does have problems with the GTA SA game, didnt notice they put out a pacth for it.
As for the other pic it looks alot like a dying card. Are you sure you put the cooloer on coreectly?
You can run this program to tell you the temp of your card. Also download ATI tools and do the artifact checking see if it can find somthing..

I installed the cooler a while ago, and it's worked fine up to now.
Not sure what I should be showing you, so here's a pic

well 3 temps are pretty high ut it dont tell me what temps tey are. The first is usually the cpu, and the second is usually ambient temp. One thing for sure its very hot in that case, try taking the side off for awhile, did you switch the ram around? to slots 1 and 3?

I have one side always off (the side that lets you access the computer easily...the left side). I do notice when I turn on my computer and touch the gpu it is VERY hot (enough to make you draw your hand back pretty quickly)
and would it matter what slots I have my ram in?

Nevermind about the ram  dont know where that came from. But if the GPU at startup is hot enough to make you take your hand back it's overheating, and that is what is causing the artifacting. Also seems your cpu is overheating as well. How big is you power supply?

Edit:try turning up your fan using speed fan. Where it says the % of fan speed press the little up bottton and it will speed up your fan. Seems you need more than one fan in there.
