There are so many games i've seen in this thread mentioned that years ago i wanted to buy and play, and i'm sure i would have loved them, but eventually i just forgot about them and lost the chance to pick them up.

Out of the games i've played though... My old favourites are the Age of Empires series, i still play the old original AoE occasionally to this day, medal of honour: allied assault, cossacks.

My current favourites are Rome: Total War, the game isn't actually great, but it had potential and various mods made for it have kept me playing for well over a year now, i'm currently loving the Europa Barbarorum mod which has been in development for two years, and my other favourite, when i've found out a way to get past my connection instability problems (which the game tells me i have, but all other games are fine) is Battlefield 2.

1. World of Warcraft
2. Warcraft III + the Frozen Throne expansion
3. C&C Red Alert 2 + Yuri's Revenge expansion

I've got a lot more favorite games, but these three are my top favorite ones.

Right, seeing as other people are cheating by posting more than three - here's my all time favs...

1 Populous Atari ST (no game has ever hooked me as much as this one)
2 Vagrant Story PS1 (beautiful game)
3 Final Fantasy VIII
4 Shogun Total War (Rome Total War has better graphics but this has more atmosphere for me, and im sick of RTW crashing all the time)
5 Civilisation III
6 Civilisation II
7 Civilisation IV (not such a big fan, my PC struggles with the extra - in my opinion superfluous graphics)
8 X-Com UFO (soooooo addictive)
9 Super Mario Cart SNES
10 Black and White
