OK first off high to everyone.

I am getting mad with my PC each & Every Day. :x

I have 7 Games on DVD, half run, half wont.

Far Cry, Brothers in Arms, MOH Pacific Assault and now Battlefield 2 are the ones that wont run.

GTA San Andreas, Half Life 2 and Thief Deadly Shadows all run fine.

I have updated all drivers and my PC is more than any of the minimum requirements, i disable everything that does not keep my PC runing in resources so not to have anything running in the background.

So i am getting feedback from the game forums and they tell me it is probaly due to anti pirate sofware. which are causing me the problems with DVD drives on some Pc's. The games all install fine, just cant get past the first Splash screen. I then get a message please insert the correct CD? The drive then locks up and dissapears altogether, forcing me to reboot? :cry:

I have looked high and low on my PC, yet can not find anything.

I have nothing like Nero burner installed, i have disabled my Nortan Anti virus. Installed reinstalled and so on. I wiped my hard drive and Reinstalled windows. Nothing!

So the Questions,

1) How to find any kind of Anti pirate software on the PC?
2) How to Disable it?
3) Is there a way to install games from DVDs to the hard drive, so not to use the DVD any more?
4) Will buying a new DVD drive help me, or will the software still prevent the games from running?

Could be as simple as trying another DVD drive. I couldn't install BF2 yesterday and it turned out that the DVD laser on my drive had gone I bought another and all is rosy again

Can you recomend a Good DVD drive that will be capeable of runing all the latest games?

1) Windows itself doesn't come with any "Anti-Pirate" software. Could you be a little bit more detailed as to what you are looking for - thanks.
2) I would think that if it is a third party program then uninstalling it should do the trick
3) There are sites that offer game "cracks" that allow you to install the software and then put the CD/DVD back in the case and forget about it. (We don't, however recommend or endorse this as it is used by software pirates).
