TotalBF2 BF2 preview

Well, I downloaded the BF2 demo (like thousands of others) yesterday.

My first impressions after playing the game for about 4 hours:

1) It runs very smoothly (even on 64 player servers)
2) It DOES look as gorgeous as all the screenshots and movies we have seen
3) The interface has been massively improved and works far better than any of the older BF games
4) Loading times were a bit slow, in fact I lost my place in servers waiting for the round to start when I joined
5) The "Commander" interface can be confusing at first but again, like everything else it works really well
6) Low end PCs will really struggle with the graphics

Have you played it yet? What do you think?

I haven't played it yet? :cry: but I am sure that Hengis has and he is probably still playing it at the moment.

Just stopped to take a break :-P and all I can say is WOW! It's all that was promised and more!

If you ever played any of the other BF series, EVERYTHING has been tweaked, speeded up, beautified and pimped out! I have to agree about the loading times, something I hope will improve with the full game. I can only imagine what this would be like on a gigabit LAN :evil:

Make a note in your diary, June 21st (US) and June 24th (Europe) - that's when the best online multiplayer game for a long time gets released.

...oh and the aircraft.....the sound....the graphics........sorry, must get back to the game.....
