Angry Two Major Problems

Hello, I recently got a new computer, but I am having a few problems. I am very frustrated right now, and I would like to put my blame on you, the reader. Nothing personal.

First of all, my pc keeps locking up for a few seconds whenever I start a game or open a video file. I think the video file problem has something to do with my codecs. I run K-Lite Mega Codec Pack with Media Player Classic. As for the game problem, the system freezes entirely for a couple of secons, with the sound going BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆ because it is frozen on one part of a song.

Another annoying problem is that when I press the restart button in the windows menu, it doesn't turn off completely. It just keeps running with no picture on the screen. I have to push the restart button on the front of the cabinet to make the pc turn entirely off. It doesn't start right away, no sir! Five second goes before it restarts and often it goes back into the do-nothing state which I've nicknamed "La-la mode".

My specs are as follows:

I run RivaTuner v2.24:

And here is my SpeedFan temperatures:

My OS is Windows XP Pro SP 3.

There. If I've forgotten something, just ask.

Hello and Welcome Samiel.

That's a bit of an unusual opening

I hope we can change your frustration so it isn't directed at the "world" in general

I appreciate that you placed your PC Specs in the post, but it would be best if you might get them entered as recommended in this document. Once you have a chance to complete that, we'll see where we can take this

Fine, fine. I am lazy, so I didn't think it would be necessary. So much for that.

This is the ultimate in lazy, Samiel. Once you've posted your specs, they will be visible in each and every post you make at PCHF. You won't have repeat yourself thread after thread.

I see that you have enabled OverClocking. Let me move this to the OverClocking forum in case your issues are related to that customization.

A redirect will be in place for you. Marked as OPEN

The first thing to do is to unclock your computer back to standard BIOS settings.

I'm a bit lazy myself today, so this should help you put the blame back on yourself for overclocking in the first place...

Well, it was a good friend of mine who did the clocking. He's much better with computers than me (he's got a degree in IT).

The factory clock was ridiculous, everything was set really low. ******** to that we said, and we put everything exept the memory clock on full (as you can see on the picture.)

But the "La-la mode" was there before we even touched the BIOS settings. Which now I have to conclude with is a hardware fault/incorrect connection.

But I will do as you say, and set the clocking settings back to the way they were.
