Welcome to the Forum xibeleli.
Removing all your RAM will not help in diagnosing.. you must have at least one in place for your systems to function. With one in place, you are able to get back into your BIOS settings? If 17x does not function, return to a lower rate, say the 16x you were at before. I'll mark this as open to encourage our clever ones to come and take a look. Thanks for your patience

Hey, thanks for that Long story today, just took it to the local pc store today and i told the technician to check the psu, he scanned it with some kind of machine and yep it was dead. Now i have to wait for him to replace it hopefully it works and it didnt take any other parts such as cpu/motherboard/vga along with it. I knew it was the PSU after i found the atx 2.0 SHAW 860w PSU was a cheap brand only $25. I told the technician off for the psu and he started yelling at me as if it he were innocent claiming that the price was $100 and he had not provided a **** psu just because of the misleading 860w. He goes it's my fault the psu failed because i didnt pick the write system intel but instead went for amd and also my fault for replacing the stock cooler with the v8 coolermaster. WHAT A LOAD OF **** TO COVERUP!. Anyways his fixing it now and should have it by tommorow if it turns out to be only the psu

Hey X,My welcome to PCHF as well. Sorry to hear that your PSU died on you, and we'll be keeping our fingers crossed that nothing else bit the dust with it. Always remember that you are running risks when you overclock, and make allowances. It was very cool of you to post back, and I know it will be useful to others if they come across a similar difficulty. We'll be looking for your update. TTFN LGW Marked as Resolved.

Hey ladygreen and thanks for your reply
![]() I know i am running risks but the pc is less than one month old and overclocking is just so addictive once you start you can't stop i dunno what eventually killed my psu or just itself but i have recently modified my pc and replaced a stock cpu cooler with a v8 coolermaster (rated@ 180w). Is that draining too much power from the psu or something? i dunno. Anyways im still waiting for the stupid technician to fix it, he hasn't checked it yet so and hopefully he doesn't replace it with the psu with the same one
