Hello Josh.

I would firstly stress test the system with this:

SiSoftware Sandra - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com

For at least 24 hours. This would help to ensure an over clock would be safe or unsafe.

Also before you over clock anything are you using the stock cooler with such things as your CPU?

Over clocking your computer results in over heating and you MUST fit better cooling before attempting this. When changing CPU cooler you must reapply thermal paste.

Ok your GPU is a little warm but not overly high however as that is at stock it is a must you fit better cooling before attempting yet again to overclock or that temp is going to rise and cause hardware issues even failure.

Personaly if them temps are overclocked temps they are not to bad but over time they could rise.

Have you fitted better cooling?

Download Sandra and stress test the system how are the temps then?

I have marked your thread as "Open" for others to advise.

Jelly Bean.

Reboot and enter your BIOS then look under your "Exit" menu tab and select "Load setup defaults" then hit F10 to save it and you should be good to go.

When you're OC'ing you need to make changes in small increments and then test it by running Prime 95 or gaming such as you were doing when you ran into difficulty.

Being able to start at idle is good but it doesn't mean much as to stability which you can only test by putting a load on the system.

That should be done for a substantial amount of time too to determine whether the system really is stable.

Opinions vary but I'd suggest at least 24hrs before considering the settings stable. A few minutes is insignificant.

FWiW, I agree with LoneWolf. Stress test with Prime95 for a MINIMUM of 8 hours with everything @ stock settings to get your baseline temps.

It's surprising how many components will overheat @ factory defaults when subjected to 100% load for several hours.

IMO, as you speed things up, longer tests (12 - 24 hours) are in order.
