Default full ram slots+overclocking?

Hi, I read somwhere a while ago that having complete and full ram slots will effect your overclocking in a negative way. It didn't really say anything more than that and I am confused about why?
I am considering buying some more ram, but I also may overclock in the future. If somone knows anything about this issue I would be greatful if you would post.

thanks, jake
edit: I am talking about overcloking the cpu only not the ram.

RAM is good. More RAM is better.

Gandalf is absolutely right.

If you plan to overclock what I would keep in mind though is when you have the option it's better to have one set instead of two accomplishing the same thing.

For example if your goal is 4GB RAM then getting 2X2GB would be preferred as opposed to getting 4X1GB.

That's not to say that 4X1GB won't work but when it comes to OC'ing the lesser the pieces of hardware the less chance for encountering a glitch.

ok thanks for the information, I will probably stick with just 2gb ram for now. The ram I have is also expensive at the moment - around £35 with delivery
