i assume you mean using the bios and adjusting the option FSB speed to achieve this am i correct? but if that is the case that is one of the options greyed out in the bios if you wish i can post another screenshot detailing what i can and can't do ?

Please do not repost your snapshot of those details.

The only other suggestion I can offer is to flush your BIOS and reload a fresh BIOS. If you decide to do that, I recommend you take your computer into a good computer shop to have it done. Because, if you do not do it correctly, your computer will not work.

unfortunatly i have already done that to no affect bu**er maybe i should concead defeat or is it possible to flush the bios and then replace it with a bios other than one my manufacturer gives me as asus bios's dont apear to work for reasons stated previously

Have you considered using a program that will O/C your processor with software rather than your BIOS settings?? One of my computers has a limited FSB adjustment range so I use ClockGen to overcome it's limitation. It won't work on/with every motherboard, but might be worth a shot in your case.

thanks for all you help the software works ok but id prefer to use the bios you can consider this problem solved
