Default How to run a 2nd copy of Prime 95??

The instructions for Prime 95 say to run a 2nd copy if you have a dual core CPU, like my Athlon 4200.. I see it runnng only at about 50%. The instructions say to add -A1 to the command line of the 2nd instance of running Prime 95.. What does thnt mean, -A1 in command line?

Launch it from the command line, fire up cmd and change to the prime 95 directory ('cd C:\location\of\prime95') and then open prime 95 with the command line switch for example ('prime95.exe -A1')

Hope this helps.

Hi jmarling, welcome to the PCHF. Please don't double / triple post in guides. I've deleted your messages from Merlin's "basics of over clocking".

If you create a second shortcut to Prime 95...goto the Properties of the shortcut (Right click -> Properties)
Under Target: add in -A1 after the last " point.
This will run it the way you need.

Also the way Lebo has said

Thank you GarHar for your quick response. I tried to add -A1 after the last " in the target, but get this error message about"Problem with Shortcut":
The Name "C:\Program Files\Prime95\Prime95.exe"-A1 specified in the Target Box is not Valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.
Did I make a typo error? Thanks for your help.

Would it help to reinstall Prime95 in a differently named folder?
