It will be printed on the actual motherboard most likely. (engraved)

hey all,

Is this not just a speedstep setup problem in bios?, you should be able to switch off the speedstep technology and have your CPU running at full speed all the time in the bios but im not 'friendly' with HP bios so cant confirm this.

Anyway have a surf through your bios RobotRiot, which you can do usually by pressing either the delete key or the f2 key as soon as your PC 'beeps,' and look out for intel speedstep technology, dont change anything else and if you find it, change it to disabled and then press f10 key which will say save to bios and exit. If you can't find it or make a mistake just press Esc key and select discard and exit.

If this isnt the above then I reckon its a BIOS update is needed as both the CPU's mentioned are right around a CPU core change for the P4 and this would normally need a BIOs update to get it working

Hope this helps

Pete

Thanks pete,

I thought it could be something in the BIOS that could be turned off - but as I'm not familiar with this age of Intel products...i wasn't sure (mentioned in an earlier post).
