Overclocking - [Answered] average temperature? posted in the Hardware forums; Whats an average temperature for an my cpu ? i never was quite sure on where to keep it and whatnot. oh and perhaps my motherboard as well????...

Whats an average temperature for an my cpu? i never was quite sure on where to keep it and whatnot.

oh and perhaps my motherboard as well????

Hi Rayboto,
Welcome to The PCHF,

You can download the app from here and install it, it will give you an idea of what temperature your cpu and possibly the VGA card are running at.
Depending on the cpu you should really be below about 58'c for the cpu and anything up to 70'c for the VGA card. If they seem high to you, just post the readings and specs of the pc for us and we'll have a look and advise you.

well my cpu is runnin at 38' C
and my mobo's 42' C

is there a problem with running to low?

If I could keep my CPU at that temp ray, I'd be a very happy man! You must have a britty good fan cooling that CPU ray?!

bahaha well, i just leave my case open, and the weathers cold right now, and i dont like heaters. so its cold inside. so maybe that is the reason? but no big fancy fans or anything. well that makes me happy that even madmonkey's tickled that my temps are down low. hahahah thanks (:
