ok. its not thePSU. I checked and at most, its 310 watts. so i doubt its that... so what IS it? i think its the memory, but i really dont know. I am starting to get irritated with it. IT works great for what i do at 866, but i have a game that wont playon less than 900, and it refuses to play at the speed

Overclocking is a science..

What do you have your ram settings at? You might need to relax them a little. And what is the multiplier on?

I would try taking your ram timing up by one and taking the v-core up a little bit.

Overclocking does take life away from your parts but it only takes about 3 years off the life of a cpu. average life of a cpu is 7 years.

I will have to disagree. My oc on my pc (click the my computer in my sig) is a AMD 64 4200X2 running at 2.8ghz instead of 2.2 and I can keep up with and FX 62 ( a 600.00 us cpu)

oh,sorrymissed that one.ok, my RAM timings were origionally 10ns/10ns/10ns, but I changed them all to 'turbo' and i am not sure what that is, i think it might be 9ns but i dont relly know for sure. possible options-- Normal/Fast/Turbo/8ns/10ns/auto i have the CAS Latency set at 3, becuase it wont POST on 2. The multiplier is, I THINK locked at 6.5, i dont really think it can be unlocked on PIIIs.

Also, 2 of 3 RAM sticks say on them, PC100 on tehm, so im thinking myabe 140 and up is just to high. YEah, it turns on fine, but then it just hangs after a minute, or when i start an app.

are all the ram sticks pc 100? And no you cant change the multi on p3's..

if the cas latency is lets say 4 up it to 6 or 7 this way it relaxes the timings so it can keep up with the p3.
