Smile Overclocking AMD Sempron 2600+

Hi, i wanna know if i can overclock my CPU.
I have -
AMD Sempron 2600+
K8Upgrade-VM800 motherboard
1536 GB of Ram
CPU Clock Speed is running at 1603.6 MHz
Clock multiplier is 8X
FSB is 200.4 MHz

I hope thats enough info to get started

Hey Oki,

What kind of cooling do you have?

It's possible to overclock it a bit more then what it is...maybe to 1.8ghz if you have the standard cooler.

Hi Garhar, i have a fan in the power supply, i think thats normal though, one on the cpu chip and i recently installed another fan on the back of the inside of the chassis. Hope it helps.

Hi Oki, is it just the standard one on the cpu chip?

If it is...then i wouldn't advise you to overclock it too much if you do.

Hi Oki, sorry it took so long to reply.
(i think i PM'd you)

With the standard cooler it's not advised to overclock as it's a "stock" cooler for "stock" settings.

And overclocking also voids your warranty, so that's also not advised unless you know exactly what you're doing.
