It's running at 44c when idle? That sounds allright.
When overclocking, you have to deal with quite a few possible problems
- overheating, as mentioned
- errors, the higher speed can cause calculation errors (when not designed for, the bigger the risk of errors. Your
cpu has a 2000mhz rating because at 2000mhz it will run most stable)
- the clock rating of both your video and ramc an cause problems, incompatibility
- changing either the multiplier or fsb can ahve different effects.
Most of the time overclocking is a game of trial and error, and a lot of cmos resets using the
mobo jumper.
I'm sorry but I cannot give you specific advice as there are too many different factors,
mobo,
cpu (not only intel/celeron and speed/fsb, but also the 'brand'). Also, the risk of your computer being fried is too big, and I don't want to be responsible for frying your stuff, unless you really want advice on overclocking. I reccomend reading a few good overclocking guys and keep fiddling with the settings but be very, VERY carefull. Also overclocking severely decreases the lifespan of your
cpu.
