Hello Everybody.

Can anyone provide me with safe instructions of unlocking an Intel Pentinum 4 running at 2.8 GHz CPU.

Hi, the processor should already be unlocked. To achieve overclocking you should be able to raise the Front Side Bus in the bios (by single points). Be very careful not to go too high as your processor may be damaged in the process!

i just got a new "asrock" motherboard. Its not a famous name brand but its manufactured by Asus. Can you anyone give me details on overclocking or is it safe to overclock with an asrock board?

It's never 'safe' to overclock (asrock is a good brand by the way ;-)). You need to adjust the fsb speed in the bios. Try adjusting it 1/2 mhz a time, save settings and reboot. That way you have run the smallest risk of damaging your cpu. But if I were you I wouldn't overclock anything due to the big risk and small speed improvents
