Default Abit AI7 Guru mobo OVERCLOCK

hello once again. (god i love this site, i learn something new every day)

On my Abit AI7 Guru mobo it has it's own overclocking settings in the bios.

these are called street racer and f1 mode and what not.

can some please tell me what all of these actually do to my system, cos currently i havent overclocked my pc and wouldn't know where to start. (thats why i bought this mobo cos it does it for me) but is says that cirtain modes stres out the ram etc... and i didn't exactly let my money go riot with my ram.

my ram is Kingston 3200 'value ram' apperently from the packet. However it's been very good so far and the only game i cant run smoothly compleatly in highest graphics at the moment is FEAR. thats cos it need 2 gig of RAM when i only have 1

Glad to hear you like the site HaRdLoCk!
I have not a lot experience with overclocking newer pc's.
What you must be always sure of is that you're cpu, graphics card etc. are not overheated.
I'm sure someone with more experience will get back to you soon.

Hey HL,

The Abit uGuru software is actually quite good for overclocking within the Windows environment. Do you have the manual that came with the board..you should have a seperate booklet explaining all about Guru, how it works and how to set it up.
