Default Macbook Pro-Two operating systems

I am interested in purchasing Apple's Macbook Pro 13,3 inches 2.53 Ghz. I have never worked with Macintosh before and i need to work with both operating systems (Mac and Windows) to keep up with my work.
I need accurate information from an experienced mac and windows user on the following issues:

can i install windows xp pro and ms office 2003 on macbook without affecting macbook's features (speed, performance, etc) and if yes which is the best way to do it? (disk partition or parallel operating systems?). From MsOffice i am working on huge access databases. Will macbook perform as any other pc?
other key software i need for my work is adobe reader pro and photoshop cs4.

any information would be of great help for me. unfortunately all retail shops i have visited are only concerned with selling and claim that everything can be done, but in Greece mac users are rare.

XP Pro is an operating system. You can't install it on a Mac.

For Office stuff etc have a look here:

Actually, Windows XP can be installed onto a Mac using Boot Camp: How to Install Windows Xp on Macbook or Mac Using Boot Camp | iTechMax
