Default Remove Office 2003 Assistants

Is it me or are the office assistants a pain, ?aside for popping up when you least need sometimes they do not pop up when you do. ?Every version of office I have run two to three months into using it I get an error on loading one application. ?It is more often than not Excel, when starting I get an error "There are no office assistants loading on this computer". ?Yet I load word, power point, access or frontpage and bingo there they are.

Anyone got an idea aside from reinstalling office which I have done (along with several repairs).

Si

Looks like we didn't answer you original question here Si... :oops:

Directions for removing Mr Clipit and his buddies....

This works for win2k and XP.

1. Start -> Control Panel
2. Add/Remove Programs
3. Click on Microsoft Office
4. Click Change
5. Click Add/Remove Features
6. Click the "+" before Office Shared Features
7. Click on the gray box before Office Assistant
8. Click Not Available with the red X
9. All the office assistants should now have a red X
10. Click Update
11. Office will update itself.

Now, the paperclip and all the assistants should be disabled.
