Hi guys,
I have a copy of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro that my boss gave me to figure out how to share it over the network so a certain number of people could be using it at the same time. It was bought specifically for this use, and I know it can be done, but I'm unfamiliar with windows server 2008 and after searching through every forum even remotely close to what I'm looking for, I'm out of ideas. If anyone could help me figure this out or even point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it. Thanks
P.S.
If I'm forgetting something, I'm brand new to the site, so let me know.
-Matt

Hello & Welcome Labjobbs/Matt,
How licenses are owned for this product? The method of usage (multiple users at the same time) that you are desiring is called Concurrent usage or licensing. There are very few products still sold with concurrent licensing. Are you certain that your Adobe is truly licensed Concurrent and not just multi-user individual licensing?

Yes it's a work network, and while the vendor called it a foe license, Adobe seems to recognize it as a volume licensing TLP. I was led to believe that it was a concurrent license, but as I haven't been able to test it out yet, anything is possible I guess. It would be kinda tragic if it only was a multi-user individual licensing. My boss his the vision of when anyone needs the software they could just pull it off the server. I know this is possible with some applications though.

I'll see what I can find about concurrent licensing on Adobe Pro. I haven't been able to find anything yet other than individual multi-user licensing. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist - I just have found it yet.
I'll be back to you as soon as I have some answers. Thanks for your patience.

Labjobbs,
I'm sorry, but I am not finding any information on concurrent licensing for the Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.x product. It does have a collaborative feature where you can have others comment on your work, but all that is required is that those you wish to comment have the free Adobe reader. Concurrent usage should be a large enough benefit to be mentioned in a features highlight and I just don't see it. http://www.adobe.com/products/acroba..._datasheet.pdf Suggest that you contact Adobe directly for clarification. If you have found Internet documentation to support a concurrent installation, please attach the links for my review. I would like to know more as well. Best of luck.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro * Collaborate
Is this what you're after? You can all see the documents, edit them ect. Doesn't seem to say anything about the licensing, but you can save it to your network's server and access it.
