Question Excel Wierdness

Recently I set up a spreadsheet concerning stocks. When I typed in the symbol for a company as ACN, Excel transformed it to CAN! I first thought it was a typing error, but it is consistent.

It's not serious, but certainly strange.

Any suggestions?

Hi Miken707,

do you mean it is auto correcting your spelling?

If so, Try this,

Stop automatic corrections

On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options.
To prevent all automatic corrections, on the AutoCorrect tab, clear the Replace text as you type check box.

To prevent specific corrections, clear the corresponding check box for the option.
