Default Creating a specific Word template

I've searched high and low for an answer.

What I am trying to do is create a word template that has several text boxes. Each text box needs to be a particular character length. When a text box has reached its limit, typing will continue in the next text box.

The reason for this is that I want to be able to format each box differently. For instance, I want to color code a certain number of chars and I want to be able to word search within each box.

Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I am not vb literate but can soon learn if I have the correct syntax to help me.

thanks in advance
