My problem is that i had office 2007 installed, then i uninstalled that for office 2003. Then, i had some speaker problems with my computer so i restored it to a time before i uninstalled office 2007.

Now, microsoft office is in my programs in the srart menu but whenever i click on them such as word 2007, it just opens windows installer and nothing happens. I have the cd and tried installing but it just says cant continue with setup becuase it is corrupt. When i try uninstalling in add/remove programs it says i cant uninstall and i should try installing from the disk.
What should i do, would it be possible to just delete the whole folder off from program files and then install or would this not work?
I have an update computer which i bought last year and also have norton security 2007.

hi, this uninstalled quite alot of the files, but now im still left with both files from 2003 and 2007 on my start menu and it goes into the windows installation when i click on them.
any other help?

Would it be possible to use registry mechanic to delete all the invalid files then just delete the folder and then reinstall?
