Default Configuring Ms Outlook on a domain

I have an ms outlook pst file and want to configure it in a way that it becomes a default pst file and could continue using it to send and receive mail. Actually when i set up outlook, a pst file is automatically created but i do not want to use it and want to use my old pst file which has all my old mail.

I think PST only stores your email and not your settings, but wait for a tech member to come along as they will know more.

I'm not a "guru" but try this,

if you only want to use your old pst then in Outlook go to:
Tools/E-Mail accounts >
view or change existing email accounts >
next >
click on New Outlook data file >
select office outlook personal Folders File (.pst) >
click ok >
browse for your old folder and select it.>
ok your way out.
