Angry publisher 2002

My operating system is Windows 2000.

When using Publisher 2002 and the document has lines or rectangles added in say 50% viewing size. When I zoom in or out sections of the lines or rectangles dissappear. When I select "page view" the lines or rectangles show as they should. Scrolling up or down also breaks them up, however, in all cases I can go to the page view icon and they are OK. If I print the document the print is OK.

I had this problem with adding images to Word 2003, as the image was scrolled up or down the images would chop up and seam to change places. The images were formatted for text raping around. Again when selecting page view the images showed correctly.

I have since removed Office 2003 and re-installed Office 97 which does not do that but I don't have an earlier copy of Publisher so cannot do that.

Is this a problem with using Windows 2000? All the available software updates have been done.

I used to have this problem a lot when i only had 256mb ram but once i upgraded for other reasons than that the problem dissapeared. Try running the program on its own with no other programs running.

Report back!

Default Problem with lines and rectangles in publisher 2002

Thanks for the replys!

Does not appear that memory size is causing this problem since the problem I had with word 2003 went away when I uninstalled 2003 and installed Office 97, a much older version.

I don't have an older version of Publisher so I cannot see if it would be any better.

I have 500MB'S of RAM, small according to today's standard. When I update to Vista this will change.

I have been teaching computers to other retiree's in the area I live and have found that those using Windows XP with no more than 256MB's of RAM don't have the problem, so it must be related to the Windows 2000 Pro operating system.
