Default Word suddenly changes font size/style as I type email address!

I use Word 2003.

Always in the past, whenever I've typed an email address, the text has changed to blue color, and the address became underscored once the address was completed. The font style and size were un-changed. This was all ok with me.

All of a sudden, the text is now changing to blue BOLD and underscored, and the font style is changing and font size is getting larger.

Can anyone suggest why this is happening and how I can change back to what was happening before?
Thanks so much!

Default

Additional information: this only happens in the document I'm currently working in. It does not happen in a new document - so there must be something going on with the format of the current document. Maybe this will help. In any case, how do I fix it?
Thanks!

Thumbs up

hi parkfein

Try the below which I have tried and tested for you on Word 2003
  1. Choose the Styles and Formatting option from the Format menu. Word displays the Styles and Formatting pane.
  2. Using the Show drop-down list at the bottom of the Styles and Formatting pane, make sure you select All Styles.
  3. In the list of styles, hover the mouse pointer over the Hyperlink style.
  4. Click on the drop-down arrow that appears at the right side of the style name.
  5. Click on Modify. Word displays the Modify Style dialog box.
  6. Click on the Format button and choose Font from the resulting drop-down list. This displays the Font dialog box.
  7. Modify the font settings for your hyperlinks, as desired.
  8. Click on OK to close the Font dialog box. The Modify Style dialog box is still visible.
  9. Make sure the Add to Template check box is selected only if you want the setting to be made deafult this will affect your normal.dot template, at the bottom of the Modify Style dialog box.
  10. Click on OK.
  11. Close the Styles and Formatting pane.
Please let us know if this has fixed it for you.
