Question [Answered] Downloading MS Word Online?

Hi again. I am using Win XP as my OS. I am not aware that XP is not equipped with MS Office and rather, it has MS Works package (word processor, spreadsheet, database etc).

I am fine with this one but sometimes its quite cumbersome to use .wps esp when I need to include self-drawn diagrams. it is less user friendly when it comes to this.

Wanna ask if its actually possible to download MS Office from the internet, if not only MS Word application will be just fine.

:-)

You can actually download *anything* from the internet  but unfortunately law plays a big part in that !

I don't think you can legally download a copy of Word from the internet, I think you have to buy it from an on-line or other store. If you want to view and print documents in a Word environment the you can download this for free: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=EN

Wordpad also works fairly well BUT doesn't handle graphics....unfortunately.

I concur, the wordprocessor in Works is not too good.

If you search round on the internet you should be able to find an oem version of Office XP or Word XP. One of these shouldn't be too expensive.

My brother recently purchased an oem copy of Office XP and it cost hardly anything and works great.

Better than paying ?300 or whatever it costs for a standard copy of office.

Word also comes as a part of some Works packages. You could perhaps try and obtain a copy of one of these, again shouldn't be too expensive.
