AM TRYING TO CREATE CHAPTERS SO CHAPTER AND PAGE NUMBERS CAN BE PUT INTO THE FOOTER OF A DOCUMENT - I HAVE USED THE WORD HELP BUT HAVE ENDED UP WITH 2 HOURS OF FRUSTRATION. I HAVE TRIED ENDLESSLY TO FOLLOW STEP BY STEP BUT SOMETHING IS NOT WORKING OUT FOR ME. I'VE ATTACHED A PORTION OF THE DOC IN QUESTION AND APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU CAN OFFER - MY BOSS IS WAITING FOR THIS AND I'M AT A LOSS. THANK YOU, SINCERELY

Next what version of Office / Word are you using ?

Do you know what version of Microsoft Office you are using ?

If not then open up your Microsoft Word and click on Help - About, and post the version number.

I tried using the supportmicrosoft doc and it looks like i may know have chapter numbers but they're continuous throughout the document and no page numbers show up. I'm going to try the same proceedure for each chapter (I used page breaks to set the chapters apart)
