Security Forum Guidelines (Read This Third)
Guidelines For Posting In The Security Forums:
Hello All,
First and foremost you are probably here because you are infected. This can be quite a painful ordeal we know. Rest assured, we WILL get you disinfected. You have certainly come to the right place.
Malware has become an epidemic over the last few years, with more and more cases cropping up every day at a pace which we can not produce adequately prepared fighters to combat it fast enough. Things can get quite busy in this section of PCHF. That being said, we ask you to observe a few guidelines during your time here. If you follow these guidelines you will get the most prompt service possible.
* DO NOT FIX ANY ENTRIES OR DELETE ANY FILES YOURSELF. Do not run any specialized tools that you see being used in other threads without direct supervision from one of our trained analysts. Be advised that running any specialized tools on your own is done solely at your own risk. You run the risk of rendering your PC unbootable should such action be taken.
* Each fix is custom tailored to the user posting that specific thread. Following another user’s fixes is extremely risky. Instead, please post your own thread and a PC Security Analyst will custom tailor fixes for you
* It is also this forum's policy that we only address users with a legal copy of Windows. If during the course of a fix it is determined that the copy is not legal, we must stop the cleansing process.
* Do not reply to your own thread before a Security Analyst or other Staff Member has replied. We all (Security Team and Moderators) look for threads with zero replies first and asses them.

Why we don't ask you to run ComboFix from the onset
As stated by the author of ComboFix:
ComboFix is a very powerful tool which when improperly used could relegate your machine to being used as a doorstop.
We first need to verify if there's any rootkits present and how they could affect our tools. HJT, and the other tools we use, are preliminary scans we use to map out the plan of attack.
With these logs we can determine the infections present & decide whether to deploy ComboFix.
With that out of the way, we look forward to interacting with you in the forum.
Regards,
The PCHF Security Team.
