Default Networking XP to Windows 7

Hello everyone,

I have been running XP for some time on 2 desktop PC's. I upgraded one to Windows 7. I need to keep XP on the other one for use of some programs that are incompatible with 7. To keep things simple I named 7 - Adults, and XP - Kids. Windows 7 can see and access XP but XP wants a password to see 7. When I try to access windows 7 it asks for a user and password.

The problem I have is that I don't know the user. I tried both Kids and Adults and neither worked. Is there a way to disable the password option? The only thing I see that I can do is change the password, but that didn't help.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Tye

Thank you Smokeycheech,

I have found what I was looking for.

Go to Control Panel>Homegroup>Changed Advanced Sharing Settings>Password Protected Sharing - tick Turn Off Password Protected Sharing. Scroll down and save changes.

Thanks again for the quick response.
