I have no idea what is going on, my old router worked perfectly fine but my d-link xtreme N wont even connect WIRED...the 360 cant find the router at all. I must be doing something wrong but this is really disappointing as to how hard this router is to connect to the 360. could you be more specific in the make and model numbers of the modem and router, please? And who is your ISP?

If you have comcast, turn everything off. then turn them on one at a time starting with the modem.

Router is a d-link 4500 xtreme N, and my isp is optimum online. The ps3 connects fine wireless but i cant get anything from the 360 wired.

it shows either the cable is faulty or the port on the router. Try another port and or cable

Try the Ethermet cable in something that will connect, sounds like you might need a new one.

I have been using this cable with the ps3 before and it worked fine, tried every port on the router. Everything works except the 360, i think the 360 just might be broken or something. Thanks.
