Hello,
I am having a problem Connecting my two computers Via a Cat5 Crossover.
I have a PC (desktop) Win XP Pro with 3com EthernetLink 10/100 PCI
And a PC (laptop) Vista Home Premium With Broadcom 44x 10/100 Integrated Controler. Am Using a Belkin CAT5e Crossover Cable.
I have followed all the Steps on Several Webpages. When the cable is Connected my XP machine Shows the "Local Area Connection is now Connected". My Vista Machine Shows Limited Connectivity to a Unidentified Network. But there is Zero Communication between them.
On my Vista I Click the "Allow Other Network users to connect Through This computer's Internet Connection" And i lose all Access to my Wireless Router and Internet. Altho i do not need the XP machine to access the internet. Would just like to be able to Transfer Files Between the two Machines.
What am i doing wrong?
If you need more information Let me know and i will post it ASAP.
