i have an network with dynamic ip ,if i set the dns servers for the lan network(that connects to the router) can change the result and speed of translating the IPs?

An internal DNS would help reduce your network "chatter" as it would take less effort for internal PCs to be located. Do I understand your question?

It may slow the whole thing down as when you ask for a ip it will ask the router which then has to go off and get it and then pass it back this is one extra step as normally your pc goes direct to dns just one step.
If the router caches dns it could speed it up on often used sites. Some routers just cant cope with the extra load of dns |

If you set your pc to use opendns it will speed up your pc as you make only one request straight to the dns server. If you have the router as dns there are 2 steps first your request goes to the router who then asks a dns server get a reply and then passes it back to your pc so its slower.
opendns offers other utils as well |
