Yes, if you have an available slot. If you take the Phone Line card out, you should see an open slot. Put the Ethernet card in that. Don't force it in, though. If it doesn't go in, then it's the wrong type. Let us know how it goes.

OK Update!.....
.... ok so i bought a netgear 10/100/1000 ethernet card. I come home and plug it up and install it. Restarted the computer, the modem and the router. Older computer still connects to the internet, but when i plug the same cord into the new comp/new network card i get nothing. in the network center it shows my comp connecting to an unidentified network. but not connecting to the internet. i dont know what to do and im super annoyed and growing more and more ****** by the minute PLEASE help because i can NOT play my games on my laptop much longer. thanksWink |

Could you get to a DOS prompt? Start -> Run -> type cmd {enter} At the DOS prompt, please type ipconfig /all {enter} If you could put the results of that command here, I would appreciate it.
