ok for this issue ill refer to one pc and pc1 and the other as pc2
when i try to watch videos on pc2 the pc freezes, so i make a shared folder with the videos from pc2 in it, then go to pc1 and watch the movies straight from pc2s shared folder, however when i watch the movies on pc1 from teh shared folder every 5 secs the video display will freeze up/hang, but the sound keeps going, then the video display jumps to the scene wher ethe sound is taking place to catch up with teh soubnd.... since tyhe scene is usually only 5 secs away its not unwatchable but it is annoying.
so first i think maybe the video file is messed up, so i get on pc2 and open that sasme file the go straight to the patrts wher ethe above problem occurs and on pc2 the video display never freezes up/hangs and it follows the sound perfectly, so its not the video file, i guess theres some kinda lag when watching videos on pc1 from pc2s shared folder. however in the past when i used to do that the lag/freeze thing didnt happen, i could watch movies on pc1, straight from pc2s shared folder just fine... is there anyway to fix that problem other than copying the videos straight from pc2 to pc1s hard drive THEN watching them?

Your references have been well noted.
Sounds do not take up all that much processor or RAM usage.. video does. Your running a lot on minimal RAM. Is there a particular reason you need to have files on one, and watch them on another? We have, in your reference, specs to one PC.. but is this even the one your speaking to? And what does the 2Nd have. Next edition edit.. full information will only help us help you. Thank you for understanding. |

the pc in my pc specs is the one im speaking too so since the pc listed in the specs (which is the one with the video files on it.. or pc2 as i called it) has low ram then it makes perfect sense tyhat it freezes when i try to watch videos on it?
yeah the reason i nede files on one and watch them on another is because liek i said when i try to watch them on the pc the files are actually on that pc freezes after awhile, as for why not just have the files on the OTHER pc in teh first place? well at first PC@ was my only PC but now im staying somewhere else where theres another pc in the house (PC!) which isnt mine but i can use it however i dont have permission to put otherfiles on it (as its not mine to do so)... btw does watching videos on pc1 from the shared folder of PC@ effect PC@s ram or anything at all? cause i notice PC@ still freezes sometimes even when im watching videos on PC1 |
