Hello, some possible useful or useless information:
I am running Windows 7 beta.
I have a Linksys Wireless-N Broadband Router.
I have a DSL connection.
No lights change when I get disconnected.
I use Firefox.
So every time I watch a streaming video, play a flash game, listen to music over the Internet I get disconnected from the Internet. I reconnect by right clicking on the "Windows Network Diagnostics" and select "Troubleshoot Problems" I get reconnected, than I watch another video and it happens again.
I am connected directly to the Linksys Router, and I am constantly sending a wireless signal for my tenant and my family. When my PC gets disconnected my wireless stays online. Please help me, thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome back.
What speed is your internet? What websites are you trying to view? I have marked your thread as "Open" to receive further help with your issue. Jelly Bean.

Hello and thank you
My speed is the normal 100. When I try to watch a Youtube video, Facebook video, Myspace Music, and every website with flash games. I can go on any other website and actually I can view Youtube comments but when I watch the video half way, or sometimes even less, I get disconnected from the Internet. Thank you for your help.

Hey Alex,This sounds like an interesting puzzle. One thing though, could you please resize your signature picture, it is going to make scrolling through your threads REALLY long. Thanks, ![]() OK, as you are using the beta version, did you notice this problem prior to the installation of 7? Have you tried reverting to your old OS to see if the problem persists? You may also want to try watching your processes in Windows Task Manager, to see if something specific is spiking when you get disconnected. You said that you use the Network Troubleshooter to reconnect, are you getting any information in an error code, or a link for more information? Have you tried using IE? Looking forward to your reply, TTFN LGW

Hey and thanks for your help.
I was watching the process while watching a video and oddly enough I did not get disconnected from the Internet. I want to go back to Windows Vista but my computer did not come with a CD so I don't know how to go back to Vista. All Windows Network Diagnostics says is "Default gateway was not found FIXED" Thanks for your help, I discovered that I can watch a video when Task manager is open and still be connected. Thanks for that. If you can still help please do thank you.

Hey Alex, that is one of the weirdest things I have ever heard, it never occurred to me that Task Manager being open would resolve that. It most definitely should not have. Oh, and thanks for fixing the picture, I appreciate that a lot. Now on to this oddity, which it turns out isn't so odd, apparently a LOT of folks are having this problem with 7. Are you using an NVIDIA card on the PC? If so, it may be a driver issue, apparently IPv6 is including the wrong driver, and M$ is recommending getting the driver again from the NVIDIA site. As to rolling back to Vista, I do not like what I am finding regarding the official advice. Let me check with some of my team mates, and either I or they will get back to you with the best way to handle that. I personally stay as far away from M$ Betas as I can, they are notoriously problematic, and I don't have the patience to do their testing for them, that's what they get paid the big bucks for. ![]() In the mean time, can you post back with the Ethernet card that you are using, and we'll see if we can't make the interim a bit less frustrating. Looking forward to your reply, TTFN LGW

Hey!
No problem about the signature, it was old and out dated anyway. I am using an NVIDIA video card. I will install the latest driver and I will get back to you ASAP. The Ethernet card I am using is a part of a nFORCE 680i LT SLI READY Motherboard. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. P.S I have been watching more videos since I discovered the whole windows task manger thing, YAY!
