Alrighty, going to bump in here
I've been using Windows 7 since it first got on the internet, if you're willing to go it a final go, the best solution I've found for driver problems is to download the Windows Vista versions of the drivers and right click the installer, go to compatibility, and select run in compatibility mode, and select Windows Vista.
If however you're not wanting to do that and just want to jump back to Vista, the only way I know of is to install over Windows 7.
Now, this is what you do:
- Insert Vista DVD
- Reboot
- Boot from DVD
- Select to install Vista
- Select Advanced install or w/e it's called (the one that's not Upgrade)
- Select the Windows 7 HD/partition
- It should prompt you that "A Windows installation is already present blah blah Move old files to Windows.old?"
- If it does, click OK
- Let it install, when it's all done and on the Vista desktop, you'll find all your files in the Windows.old folder on your C drive
If it doesn't give you that option, post back here
