You should just 'Extend your Desktop to your TV and then your TV will always be your primary monitor (as long as its connected)
You can change the resolution in VGA Mode.
If you want to set the TV as primary monitor without using the nvcpl then there are instructions earlier in the thread.

I tried two different methods of activating the video on my tv in enable vga mode. It is impossible, the option extend desktop is removed from display settings and the nvdia control panel isnt in control panel anymore. Any ideas? Should i just plug my tv in so it has to be my primary pc monitor?

That's one option and it should work.
The other option which you may have to do is to Extend your Desktop in normal Windows mode and set the TV as your Primary Monitor. Then it will be your primary monitor in all modes, including VGA and Safe Mode and it will stay that way even if you attach another monitor. |

Maybe i late post. But with what you said about the black flashing on white screen that would be on old installed driver , meaning you would need to update.
