LAN/wireless problems with company laptop!
Hi guys
So my company gave me a laptop, which works fine on the company LAN network. But when I try to run it at home, the LAN network shows limited/no availability error. My other laptop runs quiet well on the same LAN cable. Can anyone help ?

First talk to your company about their security policies and see if they've allowed access to other wireless networks...

Thanks for the reply.

To answer the question, yes they do. I can see everyone else using their work laptops at home or anywhere else. In fact, we are supposed to be even working from home at times []

Is this wireless connected or cable connected?

Is it connected direct to the modem or to a wireless router?

Please check in device manager for any yellow symbol located in network adaptor section.

So you're using a cable? have you tried the wiress connection ( press Fun next to the \Windows KeyFun and F2).
You could also set up a Stactic address, If you're in XP click Start, connections, right click the connections then click Properties, now enter an IP address like 193/268.0.2 or what ever numbers are not used, use the 255.255.255.0 in the 2nd box, now enter 192.168.0.1 in the final box.
