Im deeply sorry if this topic is posted in the wrong forum but anyways this is my problem -

I have a VPN. Only 1 VPN. I need it so I can connect to my office and I use RDP to access my office comp.

Now I also have a game in my normal comp called Martial Heroes. Its a mmorpg. So it has a server which I can connect to the game. Now the problem is when I dont connect through my VPN, the server doesnt work, it says Server connection failure. But when my VPN works, the server pops out and so I can login to the game.

Now the vpn i have, does not work sometimes (well most of the times). So Im looking for something which I can connect to thro vpn. Any free server or something ?

Help wuld be appreciated

Sorry for the delay in getting to your thread. It's strange that your game wont connect unless through VPN.

Can you please check the following: (i am assuming you have Windows XP) please post back with what operating system you have if this is not the case.

Click Start > Control Panel > Internet Options
Select the Connections tab. Highlight your VPN connection and ensure it is set to Never dial a connection.
Click the LAN settings button
Make sure Automatically detect settings is ticked > Click OK
If it's already ticked try removing the tick.
Click OK > Click OK
Reboot your pc and try connecting to your game again without VPN.

Please post back if this doesn't help.

Unfortunately, your solution has not worked for me. Thanks for trying to slove my problem though.

I am now operating Windows Vista. Ive had Windows Xp - when i had xp, the problem started. So I upgraded my Xp to Vista hoping the game would work but unfortunately it did not succeed.

My firewall was off and still the game did not work. Perhaps, it could be the ISP - EasyNet - blocking the port. I am not sure. However, I would like to enquire how to unblock the ports. Is there any softwares/any way to configure my isp router to unblock the gaming port.

The only useful information I have from the game is that its server ip is - 213.75.37.134

And ive done tracert the ip - the results were good - it had a path with either router - the vpn and mine.

Although it could be your isp blocking the port this is probably not the cause of your problem. The only way you can find if your isp block this port is to find out whats ports you need to forward for the game and call them to ask if they restrict traffic on them.

What make and model modem/router do you have?

Please post back with this information including what ports your game needs open to connect to the server.

Once you post back with this information we can hopefully get your game working again.
