What operating system is on the laptop?
When it boots does she have two icons in the tray at bottom right, one Belkin, one the Radio Mast.
Double click on the Radio mast, View Wireless Networks, Refresh Network list
Hi Elpmek, I uninstalled the Belkin adapter and installed a netgear WG11v2 adapter, everything went ok, I could see the wireless connection in the system tray telling me I was connected, but I couldn't get on to the internet, it said it couldn't get a IP address I didn't know what to do from there so I phoned the help line and they put in touch with a tech who took over her pc remotely, the tech must of been on there for 30 mins trying different things she altered the setting on the router and got it to work, she was going to fast for me to see what she was doing, could you please tell me what the tech did so if it happens again I can fix it
