Default Re: first time connecting after xp install

Device cannot start, code 10? basically means the drivers are not fully installed. If you right click on both of them, and click Disable, do all of your USB ports both front (if available) and back? Often motherboards come with additional connections onboard the motherboard itself, which means we won't really have to worry.

The ethernet drivers are the ones we need to work on here. Here is an alternative method of installing those drivers:

- Go to Device Manager, right click on your ethernet drivers, and click on Update Driver.
- Select No, not at this time [Next].
- Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). [Next]
- Click Dont search... [Next]
- Untick Show compatible hardware (as I believe the wrong driver was previously installed).
- click Have Disk, and browse to C:\dell\drivers\R56484\WinXP. [OK], [OK] and [Next] and finish the wizard.
- Restart your PC and check Device Manager again to see how things are looking
